Student Acupuncture Research Project

Students are guided through a process of scientific research on a topic of their choice in the field of acupuncture. Students will learn how to search through online databases for abstracts of interest, then select a small number of papers for in-depth analysis and write a mini-review of the selected literature. Self-study is accompanied by 1-to-1 online meetings with the tutor - a biophysicist and practicing acupuncturist who has published in the field. These meetings will serve not only to give instruction but also to inspire the formulation of research hypotheses and give qualified feedback on submitted work. There will be the option to present work in the form of an oral presentation to colleagues and, for exceptional work, there is the possibility of publishing.
